Sluggish performance on the floor is more often a network issue than the device. Nautilus runs over Wi-Fi and cellular, but a building with thick walls and dead zones can starve the connection. Watch the connection indicator: when it drops, scans queue locally and sync once you're back in range, so your data is safe even when the screen lags.

Freeing things up

On older phones, close background apps and restart the device to reclaim memory before a long counting session. Keep the app updated, since each release ships performance fixes.
