Nautilus integrates with both Sage 50 (desktop) and Sage Intacct (cloud). Inventory counts, cost adjustments, and stock valuations sync to whichever Sage product you run, with a single connector that adapts to the platform.
Inventory data, where you need it.
Three things the Sage integration does well, that you'd otherwise be doing by hand.
Both Sage platforms
Sage 50 connects via the Sage SDK; Sage Intacct connects via the Web Services API. One Nautilus instance can post to either, and customers migrating from Sage 50 to Sage Intacct don't reconfigure Nautilus.
Dimension mapping
Sage Intacct's dimension model (Department, Class, Location, Project, Customer) maps to Nautilus warehouse attributes. Reports break out by any combination of dimensions without manual filtering.
Auto-adjustment posting
Cycle count variances post as Sage inventory adjustments with the configured offset account. The accountant sets the offset accounts once during setup; subsequent counts post automatically.
Bidirectional sync. No manual entry.
Data moves between Nautilus and Sage in both directions, near-real-time.
- Stock counts
- Inventory adjustments
- Receipt batches
- Transfer journals
- Write-off events
- Vendor master
- Item codes
- Dimensions and classes
- Account chart
Four steps to live.
Under 10 minutes for most teams. The full health check takes longer but doesn't block sync.
Connect
Authenticate with one click. Nautilus uses OAuth — no API keys to copy, no credentials to store.
Map
Match your products, locations, and accounts. Nautilus auto-maps by SKU where possible.
Sync
Enable bidirectional sync. Changes in either system reflect in the other within 30 seconds.
Verify
Run the sync health check. Nautilus flags any mismatches before they become problems.
What the integration does, in numbers.
Sage questions, answered.
Are both Sage 50 US and Sage 50 UK supported?
Yes. Sage 50 US and Sage 50 UK (formerly Sage 50 Accounts) both work. The connector detects which edition you're running and uses the appropriate SDK calls. Sage 50 Canadian is also supported but receives feature parity on a 60-day lag.
What's the migration path from Sage 50 to Sage Intacct?
Run them in parallel during the migration window. Nautilus dual-writes to both for the cutover period, then we switch the source of truth. We've helped a half dozen customers through this migration; it adds about a week to a Sage Intacct go-live, no more.
Does this handle Sage 50's password-protected company files?
Yes. Sage 50's password is stored in the connector configuration on-prem and never leaves your environment. Nautilus itself doesn't see the file directly; the connector reads through the official Sage SDK with your credentials.
What about Sage Business Cloud Accounting (the small-business product)?
Not supported as a first-party integration today. Sage Business Cloud Accounting has a different API surface than Sage Intacct. Customers on that product use Zapier as a bridge, with the tradeoff of slower sync (15-minute intervals).
