Scan actions explained

Nautilus has eight scan actions, one for each thing you do to stock:

  • Pick: removes product from a location for an order.
  • Putaway: places product into a location.
  • Receive: logs new stock as it arrives.
  • Relocate: moves product between locations.
  • Count: verifies a quantity during a cycle count.
  • Adjust: corrects a quantity by hand, with a reason code.
  • Ship: marks an order as sent.
  • Return: processes incoming product back into stock.

Set the action before you start scanning, or let Nautilus read the context and choose for you. Inside a cycle count session, for example, every scan registers as a count without your switching modes.
