There are three ways to add products: scan a barcode, type the details in by hand, or import a spreadsheet. Most teams scan for day-to-day additions and use a CSV for the initial catalog load.
Scanning to add
Point the scanner at any barcode Nautilus doesn't recognize yet and it offers to create a product on the spot. Enter a name and SKU, fill in any optional fields your operation uses, and save. The barcode links to that product, so the next scan pulls it straight up.
CSV import
For a larger catalog, open Settings → Import/Export → Import Products. Download the template, drop your data into it, and upload. Nautilus checks every row and shows a preview of what it will create before anything is saved, so you can fix mistakes first.
